Next week we are starting a BRAND NEW UNIT titled "The Watery World". We will study all the "spheres" of Earth including the Geosphere (land), Hydrosphere (water), Atmosphere (air), and Biosphere (life). We'll learn about how these spheres interact and how humans can use science ideas to protect the Earth!

Next week we are wrapping things up with a review and test of the interaction within an ecosystem. Their test will be Wednesday, January 30 for A day and Thursday, January 31 for B Day. Their test will be worth 63 points and is currently 20 questions long with 17 MC and 3 OR. After the test we will do part of a Gizmo on Pond Ecosystems and watch a bit of "Planet Earth II".

FRIDAY: Finish Gizmo / Planet Earth II
This week we will learn about pond ecosystems and start to tie everything we have learned together (plants, consumers, & decomposers). We will discuss the mystery “Why do you have to clean a fish tank but not a pond?” and then read some selected passages on ecosystems.
