Welcome back!!! I am very excited to start a new school year with a fresh crop of new students eager to learn all about the wonderful world of science! This year we will be learning about plant and animal cells (the basic structures of life), ecosystems, rocks/minerals/fossils found in Arkansas, and the solar system!

Week at a Glance…
Monday (A): First day introductions, Filling out "the grid", Dry Ice Experiments (observe, question, predict), HW: Lab Safety Contract (must be signed to participate in labs)
Tuesday (B): Same as Monday
Wednesday (A): Turn in Lab Safety Contracts, Rules and Procedures, 5th Grade Science Syllabus, more fun with Dry Ice Experiments!!!
Thursday (B): Same as Tuesday
Friday (fast day): Last day to turn in Safety Contracts, Bill Nye Video "Do It yourself science" and worksheet (10 points).
