I apologize for getting this up so late. I have been out of town since Thursday night and didn't have a chance to upload this weeks lessons and assignments until recently.
This week we continue our study of CELLS by looking at drawing & labeling the parts (organelles) of a plant and animal cell, comparing the similarities and differences between these types of cells, and explaining the 3 parts of the cell theory!
The students will have a small quiz (25 points) over cells on Wednesday, October 26 and their 2nd science project - 3D Cell Model - is due on Monday, October 31 for 40 points!
WEEK at a GLANCE:
Monday & Tuesday: Cell Videos, Draw & Label Animal and Plant Cells, Read BDB 36 - 37, Study Guide (10 points), Cell Theory (Book, Video, Notes)
If time is available.... Compare the cell theory to a scientific theory - AR2 of Textbook
Wednesday & Thursday: Review Plant and Animal Cells and Cell Theory, Lab "What do plant and animal cells look like?" (24 points)
If time is available... Writing Prompt "How did technology make the discovery of cells possible and how might technology affect future discoveries?"
Friday: No school (teacher flex day)
